A Note from Your PTO
Dear Parents,
Welcome back to school! The Hollymead Elementary School Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is thrilled to start the 2017-2018 school year. We are a volunteer organization made up of parents, teachers, and administrators who are all dedicated to the successful education of our children. Everything we do is based on volunteers and we are always looking for those of you to help make a difference in the lives of our children. If you are able to give some time, day or evenings, please reach out! Many hands make the job easier.
This year we are starting a Hollymead Hornets Newsletter. This will be coming to your inbox via the Buzz every Wednesday and will be filled with all our PTO events and information. It is our goal to minimize the amount of emails you get and streamline our communication to you in this ONCE A WEEK newsletter, so keep an eye out for it!
Our first event this year is a Movie Night on September 8th at 7:30. We look forward to getting to know you and encourage you to check out our website, Facebook, and Instagram. Don’t hesitate to reach out to us if you have a question or suggestions of ways we can better serve you and your family.

What’s Happening at Hollymead?
Community Movie Night
Friday, September 8th, 7:30-9:30pm
Come join us for a school-wide event sponsored by the PTO. We encourage families to bring a blanket and chairs to come meet with others. We will begin showing the movie, Inside Out, at dusk.
Does your child want to learn French?
“Travel to Provence” this fall and learn French in a fun and exciting way! The PTO will be offering an After-School French class on Mondays from 2:40-3:40 from September 11th-November 20th. We will have a class for grades 1-2 and a class for grades 3-5. There are 10 classes per session, making the total $150 to register and secure your spot. Please see the Thursday folder for detailed info and the registration form.

How Can I Help?
Are you looking to get involved in the Hollymead school community?
Have a special skill that you would love to contribute? Want to meet other parents and make a positive impact on your child’s school year? The PTO would love your help! There are lots of ways for you to get involved, from volunteering a few hours here and there to coordinating a school-wide event. Tell us how you’d like to help and we’ll find the right fit for you.
