How Can I Help?
The PTO is still looking to fill some key roles for the year.
1. Assembly Coordinator: This job needs someone committed to helping enhance the education of students through school-wide Assembly offerings (bringing in outside programs to augment classroom learning). Timing: Full school year. Commitment: Medium.
2. Raffle Coordinator: We are looking for someone to redesign our Raffle, and maybe even consider doing a silent auction. The opportunity is wide open here and we’re hoping someone can bring new ideas. Timing: Spring. Commitment: Large.
3. Staff Appreciation Coordinator: In late spring, we have a week dedicated to showing our appreciation for teachers and school staff. This position leads that effort, and is responsible for coordinating with our community to make the week a success. Timing: May. Commitment: Medium.
If you are interested in any of these positions or would like more information, please email hollymeadptovolunteer@gmail.com. Thank you for considering donating your time and energy to the Hollymead PTO and our great school!

A Note from Your PTO
Dear Parents,
“Do you ever look at someone and wonder, what is going on inside their head?” Joy, from Inside Out, sure did on Friday night when over 200 of you turned out for our Movie Night! We had so much fun enjoying popcorn, ice cream and friends all under the stars. We hope you had a wonderful time and enjoyed it as much as we did. We have many people that made it a success so please see the PTO Pride section of this newsletter.
Our next event will be our Parent Community Chat on Monday, September 18 at 6:30pm in the Library. Did you know that when parents are involved in their children’s education, those children are more likely to: earn better grades, score higher on tests, have better social skills, show improved behavior, and be more positive in their attitude toward school? PTO hosts “chats” every other month as a time for parents to hear and learn about what your child is doing during the school day. This year we will be having administration, teachers and students present and demonstrate on many different topics. Please see information about our chat this month in the What’s Happening at Hollymead? section and consider joining us for only one hour.
