A Note from Your PTO
In the spirit of kindness, service to others, and team building, Hollymead Hornets came together last week to support UVA Children’s Hospital and Meals on Wheels Charlottesville/Albemarle. And boy did the school come together!!!
We collected over 700 items for donation, crafted numerous homemade cards and cut and tied 32 blankets!!
Students paired up, worked together, learned about Meals on Wheels and UVA Children’s Hospital, laughed, cut, colored, and tied! It was an amazing sight! Meals on Wheels will be putting together the Blizzard Bags this weekend with our donations and cards and the blankets will be delivered later this week to the hospital.
Thank you to everyone who participated and made this such a successful experience for our students. Please check out our Facebook and Instagram page to see pictures of our students at work.
Thank you from the PTO!
Thank you to all of the volunteers who made Hornet Helper a success.
From prepping blankets, helping students cut blankets, and guiding kids through the handmade cards, you all made it a success!
If you have information to be included in our weekly Hornet Happenings, please remember to email us at firstname.lastname@example.org by the Wednesday before.
