What’s Happening at Hollymead?
Hollymead Heritage Festival, January 26th
The annual Heritage Festival is just weeks away! It will take place at Hollymead Elementary School on Friday, January 26th from 6:30pm-8:30pm. We will celebrate the many cultures and ethnic backgrounds represented in our school and in our community. This will be a great opportunity for all.
There are many ways you can contribute to help make the event a success. Please consider bringing food for others to sample, wearing or displaying clothing traditional to your culture, creating a display of books, artifacts, or pictures, demonstrating a traditional dance, sharing various types of music, and participating in other activities that might represent your cultural heritage and traditions. We have had tremendous participation by Hollymead families in the past and look forward to even more this year!
If you are willing to do any of the above, please complete the reservation form and send it to school with your child(ren) no later than Tuesday, January 16th. We need your information early so that we are able to plan prior to the event. Everyone is invited to come, so you don’t have to create a display or presentation, or donate additional time in order to attend.
