PTO Volunteer Spotlight

The PTO would like to thank Bethany Teachman for her many Hollymead volunteer hours.  Bethany has been an active volunteer for 5 years.  Whether in the classrooms with her daughters Haven (5th) and Joni (3rd), or restocking books during the Book Fair, we can always count on Bethany to lend a hand.  For the last two years, Bethany has served as co-chair for Young Entrepreneurs Night with Kathy Hines. Bethany has done an amazing job creating an event where our students can show off their creativity and business sense.

Bethany is a professor of clinical psychology at UVA and enjoys reading and dancing in her free time.  The Teachman family participates each year in the Heritage Festival with an exhibit on Canada, where Bethany was born.   Bethany enjoys being able to contribute to the Hollymead community and says she feels very lucky to be part of such a supportive, enriching and engaged school community.  We are lucky to have Bethany!

If you have information to be included in our weekly Hornet Happenings, please remember to email us at by the Monday before our Wednesday distribution.
