Thank you, Corey Hawker and Jonelle Kinback!!!

A HUGE thank you goes to our Staff Appreciation Week organizers, Corey Hawker and Jonelle Kinback.  Corey and Jonelle planned and coordinated a week full of lunches, special treats, gift cards, and lots of gratitude for all of the Hollymead staff.  It was a wonderful week and the PTO, along with the Hollymead community is very grateful for your efforts.  Thank you to all the families who donated food items, gift cards, and their time.  The week would not have been a success without you!  A special note of thanks also goes to Allison Agarwal for helping with the snacks and lunches each day.

LaBlast Kids Night Out—Sign up today!

Ready for a fun, dance-filled night with friends?!?  Come to the LaBlast Ballroom Dance Fitness/Aerobics Kids Night Out THIS Friday, May 18th from 6:15-8:30pm.  

Several weeks ago, LaBlast instructor Julie Boyer shared LaBlast with many students during PE and it was a huge hit!  Everyone was dancing and exercising without knowing it.  On May 18th, Julie and Hollymead mom and Master LaBlast Trainer Katie Arostegui will be sharing LaBlast again for a fun kids’ night out.  Cost is $20 for the first student and $10 for each additional family member.  Everyone who attends must be a student at Hollymead Elementary.  Please pack a snack and water bottle, and make sure your student wears clothes they can move in… sneakers only please!  We will also have face painting and other fun activities for the kids.  Space is limited so sign up today!   Click Here to Register!

Lost & Found
Now that it’s spring, kids are dropping their jackets and sweatshirts to enjoy the warm weather. As a result, our lost & found is now overflowing! Over this last month of school, please remember to check the closet outside of the cafeteria for any missing items. The lost and found will be emptied on the last day of school and all remaining items will be donated to charity.

Final Parent Community Chat – Monday, May 21st, 6:30-7:30pm
Please join us for our last Parent Community Chat.  During the first half hour, we will hear from Bert Jacoby, ACPS Learning Technology Integrator, about what our students have been doing to build their digital citizenship.  From 7-7:30pm, we will vote on our new PTO Board, then celebrate and bid farewell to Nancy Teel, who is retiring after 6 years at Hollymead.  Please join us for cake and refreshments in honor of Nancy!
