Interested in Volunteering at Hollymead, but don’t know what to choose?  Here are descriptions of the various volunteer opportunities we have:


  • Art Print Presenter: Present famous works of art in the classroom. No experience necessary. 2 hours per month. Training provided.
  • Assist Teacher From Home: Sort and cut materials for class bulletin boards, projects, etc.
  • Attractions Dining Guide: Assist in collecting and filling orders for the coupon books.
  • Baker: Provide baked goods as needed for school/staff events.
  • Book Fair: Organize week-long book fair. Help with set-up, orders, re-stocking and take down.
  • Book Swap: Assist with book collection, swap and/or clean up. Student swap up to 10 used books.
  • Box Tops For Education: Collect Box Tops from school and send them to General Mills.
  • Campbell’s Labels: Collect labels from school and send them to Campbell’s.
  • Classroom Volunteer: A weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly commitment to assist in classroom as needed.
  • Computer Help: Assist students/teacher during computer class.
  • School Beautification: Help improve landscaping, playground, student gardens, etc.
  • Family Night: Help organize Bingo Night and Movie Night.
  • Gift Wrap Sale: Help needed to send out ordering information, collect and process orders, and distribute wrapping paper.
  • Holiday Store: Organize holiday store for students to shop for friends and family.
  • Home Room Parent: Communicate classroom needs to other parents, organize parties and special events.
  • Hospitality: Volunteer to supply food and drinks for staff appreciation and special events.
  • Library Help: Help librarian on a regular basis shelving books, filing, etc.
  • Lost and Found: Organize the school lost and found. Donate unclaimed items to a local charity.
  • Make a Difference Day: Organize the volunteers for the day.
  • School Store: Help student’s order, sell, and collect money from the in-school store 2 mornings per week.
  • SOL Hall Monitor: Monitor halls during SOL testing to reduce traffic and noise.
  • Spaghetti Night: Help with raffles, decorations, drinks and food, set-up and clean up.
  • Special Activity Help: Provide help as needed for events throughout the school year.
  • Spirit wear: Assist in collecting and distributing orders for the school spirit wear.
  • Spring Fair: Help coordinate, decorate, set up games, and clean-up school gym and classrooms.
  • Square One Artwork: Help needed to send out ordering information, collect and process orders, and distribute artwork.
  • Staff Appreciation/Lounge: Help during staff appreciation week and help stock the lounge.
  • Student Talent Show: Help coordinate springtime show displaying student talents.
  • Yard Sale: Help needed to recruit and organize volunteers and coordinate the sale.
  • Yearbook: Help create and distribute yearbook.
